The sands that survived the sea, going under the plow, and the bulldozer, taking their secrets away from a deranged humanity, that sees value in Nature only when it is vanquished.

It drives me crazy to hear scientists credit evolution when what is happening is adaptation! A species biology doesn’t change form to keep up with a changing environment! We’re taught that evolution takes MILLIONS of years but extreme environmental changes can happen quickly. According to scientists 99.9% of all plant and animal species has become extinct. Scientists know that life is winding down. Even the Bible talks about this fact. God did not create evolution, he created did however give us the instinct to “stay alive” if we’re being threatened. That’s just adaptation! The fairytale isn’t creation, it is and has always been EVOLUTION!

Very interesting. Me and my kids drove to Sugarloaf Mountain near Clermont. Being from Florida and never seeing any real elevation we thought it was so cool, even though it was only 250 or 300’ above sea level.

Dr. Brenner is an outstanding scientist conducting really important, useful, and interesting research in the late Pleistocene and Holocene history of not only lakes in Florida, but in other lakes worldwide. His insights as to how humans first arrived in these ares and influenced the local ecology is cutting edge and has important implications for future human habitation.
